Osgiliath Ruins

I've been making some very cheap terrain pieces for gaming in Osgiliath. The plan is to make 16 of these pieces in all. That's enough to cover a 4x4 table with 4 ruins per 2' square.

The ruins are all corners. Thus they kan be put together to form outlays of buildings.

Hairspray Queen

In preperation for my Vietnam outing this 22 june I've been making some "in scale" trees.

I find the trees you're able to buy in the stores to be quite small.. putting it possitive.
Real life trees are vast easily 10 meters or more. I've tried to capture that with this batch of trees.

They are made with a branch, a hairspray, some black wool and modelling train flok/foilage.

A downed huey and two US infantry. All Italeri and 1:72 scale.

Cutting Hedges!

Yes folks. This time it's time for more cutting hedge technology.

On the Too Fat Lardies yahoo group someone was as intelligent as to tell me that 6mm/10mm bocage could be made from grass doormats. Preposterous I hear you think? (Yes really I do!)

I now provide the evidence that it is not:

Seen here the hedge is used as bocage with Irregular 6mm German infantry.

Seen here is a modern gardening hedge. London Downtown 2008.

I love this sort of terrain that has several uses to it. It has become quite the hobby of mine to figure out things like this.
